And the last my blog post I will address to all marketing program students!)

This cartoon reflects the essence of the advertising business, when companies are trying to attract a buyer coming up with more and weirder ways.

One Man Band is a 2005 Pixar animated short film. The film made its world premiere at the 29th Annecy International Animated Film Festival in Annecy, France, and won the Platinum Grand Prize at the Future Film Festival in Bologna, Italy. It was shown with the theatrical release of Cars.

The House of Small Cubes

La Maison en Petits Cubes (Kunio Kato, 2008)  is a  short animated movie about an old man lives in a town that has become submerged in water. As the water rises, he’s forced to build additional levels onto his home with bricks in order to stay above water. One day the old man accidentally drops his favorite pipe into the lower levels of his home, and decides to rent scuba diving equipment in order to go searching for his pipe. As he descends through his sunken home, the old man recalls memories of the past in each room.

When I watched it for the first time I had a feeling of warmth, serenity and happiness. I was happy that human beings can still create such beautiful things in this world. I am amazed at how the director managed to put so many feelings and thoughts in this tiny piece of animation and I want to thank Mr. Kunio Katô for doing that. My congratulations Mr. Katô, you’ve added a beautiful piece to the art of animation. And at last but not least I want to mention the music of the movie, it PERFECTLY fits every inch of the film and creates a harmonious unity of sound and image. I hope you will enjoy watching La Maison en petits cubes as much as I did.

Ticket to the Moon

o.htmLa Luna (Enrico Casarosa, 2011) is the Oscar-nominated short animated film covers some of the territory of family relations. The film addresses three generations: a little boy, his father and grandfather, as the boy joins the family business. Artistically, the films share a rich and painterly quality. The movie paints a short and sweet portrait of a boy who gains knowledge from both his father and grandfather, but in the end, he has to find his own path. La Luna is a magical, heartwarming coming-of-age short film from Pixar.

La Luna is a delightfully beautiful short brought to us by the brilliant minds at Pixar. I love La Luna. After watching it, I felt empowered. I felt like I could do anything (maybe that is a stretch, but it was the closet description nonetheless). A huge plus for La Luna is the fact that it was animated by Pixar. The animation, like everything animated by Pixar, is definitely worth pointing out. The story, while being very simple, is quite satisfying.

Oscar 2014

indexMr Hublot (Laurent Witz and Alexandre Espigares, 2014) is an animated short film that won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short in 2014.

The story is set in a weird alternate reality that is a combination of steam punk and a bizarro futuristic world. Mr. Hublot seems to have a lot of problems with obsessive-compulsive behaviors. Into this very ordered world comes some disorder in the form of a robo-dog. I cannot really say more–because it’s indescribable. Visually beautiful cartoons are very nice and I could probably watch this a dozen times and still not see everything there is to see.

Witz and Espigares do a great job of creating an entire new futuristic universe, for just an 11 minute short, and I really liked the simple tale of a shy insecure guy finding happiness with a friend for the first time. Definitely worth seeing!

CinemaClock

ImageI’ve not been thinking about the topic of my blog too much… It is all about cinema.Cinema Cinema Cinema. But much harder for me was to choose what exactly write about the cinema. I have a lot of ideas about upcoming movies, actors, directors, Top 10 movies, awards and so on and so on… And, to be honest, I know that these blogs will not be  popular, it is for “my soul”. So, I decided to focus my attention on short films and cartoons, because its always get very little attention from public. Let’s go!

In my first post, I want to share with one of the deepest and strongest cartoon that I ever saw.Shizein (Jérémy Tslapin, 2008 ) is a French animated short film about a man named Henry, who literally faced with a meteorite. This is a very dramatic and at the same time a fascinating story . If you spend 13 minutes of your time and watch this cartoon, I’m sure you will not regret .

Loneliness – is a form of art.
